About me

The journey begins.

Hi there. Here’s a little bit about me.

I’m an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where I have taught graphic design since 2004. I’m a graduate of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (B.A. Art 1996) and the University of Iowa (M.A. Library Science 1998, M.F.A. Art: Graphic Design 2004). If you really want to, you can learn more about what I’ve been up to over the last few years by looking at my CV. I’ve been lucky enough to do lots of interesting things, and I fully intend to keep up the momentum.

My professional interests include mapping, typography, visual record-keeping, found design, exploring new geography, printing by hand, wrastlin’ with new technology, and relentlessly looking stuff up.

All while I try in earnest to wrap my mind around the ever-evolving nature of the design profession. And to locate myself within it.

Yeah, I’m a bit tired. But I’m always appreciative of new opportunities . . . and always eager to learn more.
